How much does a Squarespace site cost?

How long does a Squarespace build take?
A focused redesign usually runs one to three weeks. A larger site with Commerce, custom code, or a migration runs longer. After the teardown call we give you a real timeline with milestones, not a vague range, so you always know where the project stands.
Can we own and export the site afterward?
You own all the content, copy, and brand work we produce, and you keep full admin access to your Squarespace account. Worth knowing up front: Squarespace 7.1 does not offer XML export, and its templates are proprietary, so the design itself cannot be exported and dropped onto another host. If portability matters long term, we will flag it before you build.
Freelancer or agency, what is the difference for me?
A solo freelancer is one person doing design, code, and support, so timelines slip when life happens. We are a software and product development agency, so one accountable team owns delivery and someone is always reachable. We are not a marketplace and not a staffing pool. Is Squarespace good for SEO?
For most business sites, yes. Squarespace handles SSL, mobile responsiveness, sitemaps, and clean HTML automatically, and it lets you edit meta titles, descriptions, and alt text. The limits show up in advanced technical SEO, since you get less control over schema markup, robots.txt, and URL hierarchy than on WordPress. We work within those limits and tell you honestly when a goal needs a different platform.
What can custom code and integrations actually do on Squarespace?
Quite a lot. We use code injection and custom CSS to extend layouts, add animations, and connect tools like CRMs, booking, and analytics. The platform does have ceilings, custom CSS caps at 128,000 characters, code injection does not run on blog posts, and Fluid Engine can break section-specific code on conversion. We design around these instead of pretending they do not exist.
Can you migrate us off Squarespace to Webflow or a custom build?
Yes, and we do it both directions. Moving off Squarespace means rebuilding the design, since templates and most 7.1 content do not export cleanly, so we recreate the site in Webflow or a custom stack while preserving URLs, redirects, and SEO so traffic holds. We will tell you whether the move is worth it before you spend on it.
