YouthPathshalaEdTechE-LibraryApp
A cross-platform EdTech app we built around an e-library: AI text-to-speech that reads any chapter aloud, auto-graded tests, and a live analytics view for teachers. It runs at 250K+ daily active users.
EdTech app overview
Youth Pathshala started as a simple ask. Take a library of study material and make it something students actually open. We built a cross-platform EdTech app around it. The AI text-to-speech reads any chapter aloud, so a student can keep learning on the bus or while their eyes are tired. The test engine grades itself. And the teacher gets a dashboard that shows, in real time, who is keeping up and who is quietly falling behind. Today the platform serves 250K+ daily active users.

What we set out to fix
Students opened it once, then drifted
A library of PDFs is not a habit. Without audio, without a reason to come back, most students poke at it for a week and then forget it exists. The brief was to build something they actually wanted to open.
Static PDFs do not work on a phone
Most learning happens on a phone now, and a dense PDF on a small screen is rough going. No way to listen instead of read, no way to pick up where you left off. We needed content that travels.
Grading ate the teachers' week
Every test marked by hand is an evening a teacher does not get back. And once it is marked, the insight is gone. Nobody is sitting down to chart which questions the whole class got wrong.
No view into who was struggling
Teachers were flying blind. They could not see which topics tripped people up, which students had gone quiet, or which chapters nobody finished. That is the gap the analytics layer had to close.
What we built into the EdTech app
AI text-to-speech
Point it at a chapter and it reads it aloud. A student listens on the commute, or rests their eyes after a long day, and still gets through the material. This is the feature that turned the library into something people actually use.
Auto-graded test engine
Tests mark themselves and hand back feedback the moment a student submits. Teachers get their evenings back, and students do not wait a week to find out what they missed.
Live learning analytics
A dashboard that shows which topics are hard, where students stall, and which content is doing its job. It is the difference between a teacher guessing and a teacher knowing.
Admin panel and content tools
One place to manage content, accounts, and the whole library without a developer in the loop. The team uploads, organizes, and publishes on their own.

What the EdTech app delivers
The EdTech app tech stack
One Flutter codebase ships to iOS, Android, and the web, with a Node.js backend behind it. The text-to-speech runs through Google's TTS API. Firebase handles auth and real-time bits, AWS does the heavy lifting, and MongoDB stores the content and the analytics. Nothing exotic here. Just the right tool in the right place so the thing stays fast at 250K+ daily active users.
